Our research efforts focus on capital allocation. While many investors focus their attention on how a company makes money, we spend an inordinate amount of energy understanding how a management team spends the money the business has already made. While underwriting future growth is paramount, it is fraught analytical uncertainty. We believe that underwriting future capital allocation practices is an equally important endeavor, but one that is immanently tractable.
